I've long had problems with being a shallow breather. I often find I've been holding my breath.
Recently, after a relationship breakup, I've turned to breathing meditations. It has become the difference between living with emotional pain and finding peace, serenity.
I've come to believe that the "god" that 12-Steppers refer to in the serenity prayer is serenity itself.
